We do not accept hazardous or flammable materials, compressed gas cylinders, or non-metal materials, including:

  • Paints and paint thinners
  • Solvents and chemicals
  • Gasoline, diesel fuel, and oil
  • Propane cylinders containing gas
  • Antifreeze
  • Unpunctured aerosol cans
  • Leaking or damaged wet-cell batteries
  • Any hazardous waste
  • Household garbage
  • Wood
  • Glass
  • Dirt and concrete
  • Insulation
  • Fiberglass
  • Whole tires
  • Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners that still contain refrigerant (Freon)
  • Equipment containing PCB ballasts or other hazardous components

Certain materials require proof of ownership or additional documentation before they can be accepted. These may include:

  • Any item that may reasonably be considered public or commercial property
